When Life Changes

I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

Leave or Terminate...Options.  Options?

It turns out telling your boss you don't like your job means you no longer have a job there!  There's no other option apparently!  I take full responsibility, I wasn't happy.  As far as I can tell you have 3 options if you don't like your job;

1.You make it work for you, love it or like it!
2. Live with a job or role that you hate.

3. Leave.

'I Called in Sad'

As Susan Jeffers says...'Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway'.

I took the termination!  Resign = No Pay, Terminate = 4 Weeks pay.  Luckily I was on the chapter of taking responsibility.  The company and the role itself would be great for some, they would love it, I know people who love it god damn it!  I felt just the opposite. I was getting sad, annoyed and frustrated with myself for keeping at it, I needed an emotional wellbeing day, so I called in Sad!  Is that so bad?  I tried to like my job everyday, but the 'Ring Ring' in my ears upto 60 times plus a day, well it hurt!! The pain the pain! Also I'm not a fan of Micro managing.  I may even hate it!  So it was time to say goodbye! Farewell...

Change Direction

I learned a lot there, and it's helped me take this direction now.  As they say "Everything happens for a reason"...Sometimes you just need a kick in the ass to realise it!!  I took full responsibility, and the money! And then, then I ran ALL the way to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam...My first Great Adventure!  I could 'Just do it' - As Nike says...!  So I did, It was liberating, and i let it change me.

When you push in the right direction there is definately movement!!

I recently wrote my 'Big Five For Life'.  It Goes like this...

1. Become a successful creative spokes person and work all over the world.
2. Make great differences in the lives of others and be actively involved in   charity work.
3. Travel the world (For 6 months of every year) & Climb at least two mountains.
4. Learn something new everyday.
5. Marry and have a happy family.

The basic concept is pretty simple. You put in five things that you really want to DO, SEE, or EXPERIENCE in your lifetime. Five things so important, that if you do, see, or experience them before you die, then you will feel that your life is a success. They can be one time events, like watch sunrise from the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. They can also be longer term things, like have an amazing relationship with your significant other, or kids.

'The Big Five For Life: Leadership's Greatest Secret', by John Strelecky, really inspired me.  The concept of working to fulfill your goals, doing the things you enjoy most when working to get the greatest return on your time investment.  Alligning what you do with your purpose for Existance.  Working towards the same ideals as your fellow 'travellers' who are on the same journey as you.  Sharing experiences.  Having great 'museum days!' - If you were to document each day of your life and at the end of it a museum was dedicated to you, what would you want to see in it?  Was your time spent at work hating your job?  Did you love it and the people you got to share your days with?  Was it spending time with your friends and family enjoying being together, laughing and sharing your love?

The book covers a lot of practical knowledge we can all apply; lead ourselves, lead at work,  or recommend practices to our employers to get the best from us, and be in the business of people and their lives.  Being happy.

Whatever you choose to do, do it because you know what you do will take you where you want to go...
